The Handley Cup is one of the biggest days in the Hallam Darts calendar — the annual in-house championship
where everyone from Hallam Darts, past, present and honorary, comes together for one day a year to drink,
chat, play darts, and then watch Charlie Marshall win it.
Nine years ago the idea was spawned from Curtis Thorpe wanting Hallam Darts to have something to look
forward to other than the Varsity hammering from our Steel City rivals — something for every Hallam player
to play in and enjoy, and something to come back to after graduating, to see everyone that makes Hallam
Darts what it is. It's only getting bigger and better, with the society going from strength to strength and
the alumni coming back to remind everyone they stand on the shoulders of giants.
